Evangelism at Talladega Superspeedway

Through Alabama Raceway Ministries, the Birmingham Baptist Association of churches shares the love of Christ with people attending race events at Talladega Superspeedway. Each year, in the spring and fall, volunteers distribute free refreshments to the fans and invite them to attend worship services throughout the race weekend. This is done in cooperation with the state missions board and other local associations.

You can donate items for the upcoming races three weeks before the event. Please have items at the BBA Office by 2 p.m. on Thursday of the race weekend. The event lasts through Sunday morning.

Volunteer Needs:

People to participate in worship services at the race track sites. May be volunteer religious performers of any kind: drama teams, choirs, chalk talks, etc.
Ministers to present a devotional/sermon.
Lay people who want to share their witness with people expressing an interest in learning about Jesus.

Items Needed:

You can help by providing the items listed below, or by financially supporting the ministry project.

If you wish to purchase items and deliver them to the BBA office, we need:

Individually wrapped cookies or Little Debbies® that won’t melt in the heat.
(Only store bought/wrapped items will be accepted by those attending the races.)
Individual packages of chips, crackers, or nuts.
Individual bottles of water.
Individual bottle/cans of soda or sports drinks.
