BBA Ministry Opportunity Guide

One of the primary purposes of Birmingham Baptist Association is to bring its member churches together to provide cooperative ministries that will transform the community in which we live. BBA ministries listed in this guide are funded by the contributions of member churches, gifts to the Helen White/Evie Eubank offering, and by support from individuals.

These ministries are changing lives, and you can be a part of this Kingdom work either as a hands-on volunteer, or by supplying necessary materials, or both! Additionally, we have included information about other ministry organizations who are also serving the Birmingham community.MOG cover

As you read through the guide, think about these questions:
  • What are my personal interests and skills?
  • What would I like to accomplish through mission action?
  • What age group do I want to work with?
  • Do I prefer to work alone or with a group?
  • What kind of time commitment can I make?
  • Do I want to work directly with people in need, or would I prefer a "behind the scenes" ministry?
With your answers in mind, you will be certain to find dozens of opportunities listed in these pages both for individual and group ministry. There may also be additional ministry opportunities that arise throughout the year, things like sports clinics, day camps, block parties, and mission ventures.

We will be happy to arrange for a representative to come speak to your church or group about these ministries and events. Call the BBA office for additional information or to arrange for a presentation. And most of all, pray that you will find the place of service God is calling you to fill.
