Hospital Chaplains

Scientists are just now beginning to document what Baptists have believed for many years, there is a significant link between spirituality and health. That is why we support the Pastoral Care programs at hospitals in Birmingham through a relationship with Baptist Health System.

Having a chaplain on call to counsel with both patients and their families in times of need is a vital ministry. Many are facing life and death issues, and desperately need the compassion and truth of Christ. At all hours of the day and night, seven days a week, chaplains are on call to share the love of Jesus with a hurting world. Birmingham Baptist Association currently sponsors a staff chaplain at University Hospital.
